Peter Gene Hernandez better known as Bruno Mars, is one of the top singer, songwriter, record producer, musician, and dancer in international music. He is known for his stage performances, retro showmanship, and for performing in a wide range of musical styles, including pop, R&B, funk, soul, reggae, hip hop, and rock.
So how will a ‘Desi Take’ on his music sound?
This week Benny Dayal will provide just that on Jim Beam Originals.
“Bruno Mars has been my inspiration since the last 4 years and I am so glad I got this oppourtunity to cover his songs in my style,” said Benny.
Benny is a well-known Indian playback singer. He is a prominent singer in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati and Marathi languages films.
This series of 10 virtual music experiences will feature famous Indian musicians recreate hits by legendary international artists in their own inimitable styles. Artists like Colonial Cousins, Shalmali, Benny Dayal, Shaan, Purbayan Chatterjee, Karsh Kale, Raghu Dixit, Usha Uthup, Thaikuddam Bridge, and Shor Police will recreate the music of a global music icon each.
“Bruno’s sound is all about the 1980s,90s and 2000s RnB and funk yet it is so fresh. So it was a challenge to recreate it for my fans,” stressed Benny.
