Apple, today, revealed its ‘Best of 2018’ selections along with an annual editorial list of what it considers the best content across its App Store and iTunes. The editors of Apple Music collect the streaming giant’s data on an annual basis at the end of each year.
In the ‘Best of 2018’ music chart, Canadian rapper Drake, American singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves and American rapper Cardi B emerged as the top winners of their respective categories. According to the list, Dil Diya Gallan (from Bollywood movie Tiger Zinda Hai) was the most preferred song in India followed by Tareefan (from Bollywood movie Veere Di Wedding) and Havana by Camila Cabello.
Drake ranked top in the ‘Artist of the Year’ category while Kasey Musgraves bagged the premier spot in the ‘Album of the Year’ category for her dynamic ‘Golden Hour‘. The flaming collaboration between Cardi B, J. Balvin and Bad Bunny made ‘I Like It’ an easy choice for ‘Song of the Year’. Securing the winner’s spot in the ‘Breakout Artist’ of the year category, American rapper Juice WRLD has been giving everyone ‘Lucid Dreams‘ all year long.
But these all-stars weren’t the only winners, Apple Music’s global year-end charts and editorial playlists are packed with the year’s biggest hits and favourites from all over the world.
