All About Music in association with Red FM will be interviewing finalists of “Pitch Your Songs to Labels” from the 2020 edition of the conference.
It has been quite common for artistes to present their music to media companies, music labels, and other platforms but not get an opportunity to get the music aired or considered for release.
But as Bob Dylan sang, “the times they are a-changin’,” All About Music started the trend by providing a platform for the artistes to be heard by music labels and film producers through their Pitch Contests.
“Since 2017, the All About Music conference has been Connecting The Dots of the music industry, with 4 Sold Out Editions, by engaging and connecting top Indian and Global music personalities, fans, influencers, artists, producers, musicians and stakeholders.
One of our biggest focus at AAM is creating opportunities for emerging musicians .
‘Pitch Your Music’ is an effort to achieve the same .
Started in 2018, it featured some interesting tracks which got attention of our juries which included renowned A&R Heads of Top Indian Music Labels and Indian Film Makers.
We are happy that we have partnered with Red FM “The biggest FM network in India” in empowering these musicians by giving a much needed wider reach to the finalists,” said Tarsame Mittal, Founder, Tarsame Mittal Talent Management.
Shortlisted songs were played at different sessions to labels and to film producers/directors. Now that initiative is finding a place on the radio. Out of over a hundred entries received for the non-film pitch, a few have been shortlisted and those artistes will be interviewed and have their songs aired on Red FM on a program called Red Indies Shuffle.
Red FM has been a pioneer in promoting independent music and this show is especially dedicated to all the independent artistes and musicians across the country. The show aims to boost the exploding Indie music scene in India.
Nisha Narayanan, Director & COO, RED FM & Magic FM, said,
“There is a pool of talent in independent music segment, which is yet to be heard. Regional music is being consumed more than ever due to evolving tastes and preferences of the audience. At Red FM, we strongly believe in supporting diverse genres whether it is indie or regional music segment through various on-air, digital and on-ground initiatives.
It’s really heartening to see the response we have got in the last two years of supporting Indie artists and the association with All About Music is the most natural thing in this journey.
‘Pitch your song to labels’ will create an opportunity for artists to present their music to media companies and get a chance to make it big.
We must come forward to help the indie music artists and utilise our full potential for them to be seen and heard at larger levels.”
Red Indies Shuffle airs daily from Monday to Saturday between 3 and 5 PM. Stay tuned and catch the artistes live from 12th December onwards on Red Indies Shuffle.
