Sony Music and South India’s post-production facility Knack Studios have collaborated to launch The Madras Gig, a platform for indie talent across South India.
The objective of these two brands is to increase the reach of independent music and unearth new talents. These young talents will be guided and mentored by the leading musicians and music producers from the Tamil movie and music industry.
Ashok Parwani, Head – South, Sony Music India said, “We believe there are slews of artistes in the South who are extremely talented and need a right platform to display their talents. We are inviting entries and are confident that there will definitely be some great music created”.
The Madras Gig seasons will comprise re-imagined versions and original contents of popular songs from the Sony Music catalogue.
