S.N.L at The Stables #ft Victor and the Crowns
May 12, 9:30 pm
Get a major dose of musical nostalgia the old school style by Victor Crowns beats of 80s & 90s at The Stables.
Victor and the Crowns is a rock-n-roll lineup of hobby-musicians inspired by the golden era of music of the 60s to the 80s. It came into being less than a decade ago playing for fun and doing the occasional charity shows.
Their passion for music is evident in the vibrantly electrifying vocals of dynamic front-man Dr. Victor Rodrigues, beautiful female vocals by Alria and Simone. Heaven-on-high music arrangements and harmonies by Keith “Maestro” Suares with beautiful and tightly-pitched complex choral ensemble of Stephanie Petit & Raynah Braganza. Flawless thumping bass lines by Keith Donald (KD to the band), soul-stirring acoustic guitar chord voicing by Larry Rebello, smooth synthesizer and keyboard patterns by Dr. Nikhil Cunha, banjo-twanging and sonorous vocals of Dipak Shah, precision drumming of Ian and Sonjoy and the emotive lead-guitar bends and pulls by Keith Mendes.
The band has performed at some of Bombay’s coolest venues, including Theory, The Clearing House and The Bombay Gym.
Coming together from a range of industries, influenced by The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, CCR and others, music is a serious hobby for this mix of doctors, businessmen, engineers, bankers, music instructors and media professionals – tempered in a cauldron of rigorous and regular practices and in-house music-critique; enough to make VICTOR AND THE CROWNS stand out as a much-awaited crowd-pulling act with their signature interpretations of a number of chart-toppers.
